How’s Your Health? Take My Assessment!

What’s Mine is Mine, What’s Yours is Yours

Keep your bag zipped up tight! I heard a very impressive sermon a few months back. It was about taking care of yourself by not letting other people put things in your bag. We all have our struggles and that is overwhelming enough, you have to take care of your emotional self as part of your wellness plan so when others start unloading on you remember it is not yours to fix, concentrate on or lose sleep over. You need to zip your bag shut and not allow anyone else to put their baggage in it. It is okay to have a listening ear but you do not own anyone else’s struggles and troubles. If you remember to keep your bag zipped it is easier to be that friend who can listen freely and openly without the need to take on any of it. Give yourself permission to take care of yourself and it will relieve some of the stress in your day to day. You can be a friend but no one needs or expects you to have all the answers so enjoy that conversation, love your friends and keep your bag zipped up tight. Remember, what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is yours.
