How’s Your Health? Take My Assessment!

Happiness

20160808_212906885_iosAre you happy most of the time, some of the time or not very often at all? I challenge you to spend a few moments to look inside and find the answer and perhaps the solution to the question. Happiness is a preferred state and we all agree it is much more fun to be around happy people then someone who is bringing us down consistently. Oh yes, we all have those times that just don’t click and that’s ok. Find a sounding board, take some cleansing breaths, write down how you feel but most important if you are unhappy more than a short time (I am talking a couple hours max) you need to be introspective and discover what might be going on. How’s your health, getting enough sleep, surrounding yourself with negative people? Perhaps you need a physical or perhaps awareness that it is up to you to live your life to the fullest.

This has been a bit of a rainy week again but do try to get outside and enjoy the crispness of the air. I find it lifts the spirit if you go out into it and stop just looking out the window. Some days look glum and chilly, but if you step outside and take a brisk walk, it can be invigorating – so put on those appropriate shoes, grab a jacket, invite a friend or just take some “me” time and go for a walk even on the days you just don’t feel like you want to. Once you get started, I promise you will be glad you did it!

Someone asked, so let me just hit on my favorite granola. As always, it is important to read all labels so you know what you are eating but I have found that I personally like Crapola! Granola made in Ely, MN. There are a couple of different flavors and it is a bit pricey (as is most granola) but I have it most mornings with my vanilla flavored Danon Light & Fit yogurt, and berries I have in my refrigerator. At the Get in Gear MN Run I participated in they handed out Seven Sundays coca & coconut muesli. I find I like that as well in my yogurt but it is a cereal so whatever your pleasure.
